I love fashion, I always have done. As a kid, we had hardly any money but my mum would order from her catalogue. I remember flicking through the pages and picking out the outfits that I wished we could afford.
When I started work, my office was near Oxford Circus and I discovered Topshop. I'd spend virtually all my month's pay there in the first week of each month. Then as my pay went up, I'd save for designer bits and pieces, a Gucci bag and a Dior clutch purse. Things changed when i got married and had kids, they got the nice outfits and I dressed in "mummy" clothes. It was worse when I became a single mum. Things got pretty stressful and I put on a lot of weight and hid in shapeless clothes. Now I'm trying to put an end to that and rediscover myself. I've accepted that I will never be a size eight and although I'm trying to lose weight, I'll always be curvy but I want to see how I can use and adapt fashion trends and styles to suit me and that what I want to share with you.
This is who I'd like to look like:
Whereas at the moment I look a bit more like this:-
But I'm working on it! So hopefully imagination and some fashion inspiration will help me overcome a restricted budget and a few bulges!
Today has been a slobby day at home. It's cold and rainy so I went for comfort, But even comfort can be stylish. The jumper is from River Island. It looks good but still hides my problem area - my tummy.
Will post again soon. Bye for now
